Sugama Tourist is a private bus operator from Karnataka. We have been running buses since 1977, and today our own fleet of 220 buses covers some of the busiest routes in Karnataka, Goa and Andhra Pradesh. The fleet includes Volvo multi-axle AC sleeper and semi-sleeper buses on our longer intercity routes. Our one day Tirupati package from Bangalore is run by the same team, with our own buses and drivers.
Sugama Tourist was founded in 1977 by Mr. H. Subhodh Ballal, a Karnataka-born businessman, under the banner of Anantha Padmanabha Motors (APM). It began with a single bus between Hebri and Kundapura, in what was then the undivided Dakshina Kannada district.
Passengers kept coming back, and the routes grew one at a time. We were among the first operators to run ACGL luxury buses in North Karnataka. They were so popular that we added 20 more buses within a year. From one bus on a small coastal route, Sugama grew into one of the best-known names in private bus travel in South India.

Most of our routes connect the coast and North Karnataka with Bangalore.
On these routes, you can travel in our Volvo multi-axle AC sleeper and semi-sleeper buses. With more than 30 offices across Karnataka, there is usually a Sugama counter not far from you.
The one day Tirupati package runs on our 2+1 AC sleeper buses.
Over the years, many of our passengers asked us for an easy way to visit Tirumala from Bangalore. Planning it alone means booking buses, finding a place to freshen up, getting up the hill and working out the darshan queue. So we put all of it into one trip.
You travel overnight in our 2+1 AC sleeper bus, freshen up at a hotel in Tirupati, have breakfast, and go up to Tirumala with our guide. After free darshan and your laddu, you have lunch or dinner, and if time permits, visit Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple at Tiruchanur. Then you travel back to Bangalore the same night. More than 6 lakh pilgrims have made this trip with us.
The package includes free (Sarva) darshan only, because TTD does not give special darshan tickets to tour operators. We tell you this before you book, not after.

We don't hire buses from outside, so we know every bus that leaves our depot.
